GERBERA DAISY

This summer-blooming plant is a popular plant for the home gardener. The compact varieties are favored over the taller blooming varieties. Its 2 to 3" flowers are borne on 5 to 10" stems and can be variously colored in shades of yellow, pink, orange and any shade in between. The medium green leaves are about 6" long and are deeply lobed.

TEMPERATURE: This plant likes average household temperatures between 50° and 70°.

LIGHT: It likes a brightly lit location with some sun.

WATER: Water enough to keep the soil moist at all times. Mist the leaves occasionally.

After the plant is finished blooming, it is usually discarded.

These seasonal plants may be grown in 4" or 6" pots.
