STROMANTHES

Stromanthes is closely related to the Calatheas and Marantas. Stromanthe is a compact, low-growing plant. The foliage has distinctive markings like calathea. The leaves can be colored in shades of green with tints of pink over white. The plant can be somewhat finicky.

TEMPERATURE/LIGHT: It requires a minimum temperature of 65° and high humidity. Provide warm temperatures at all times and moderately bright light. Avoid direct sunlight.

WATER: Keep the soil moist at all times and provide high humidity. Water with rainwater or distilled.

This is a specialty plant and rarely available. It is usually grown in 8 inch pots but is occasionally available in a 6 inch pot.
